Planning a birthday, client lunch or a long table with friends. Vaporetto has four flexible spaces in Hawthorn, Venetian menus and a team that makes hosting simple. Choose your room, pick a menu style and we will handle the timing and service.
Our Spaces
The Bar
Venetian bar for arrivals, spritz and stand-up mingles; great for pre-dinner catch-ups, quick toasts and networking with high tables and service pacing. Capacity: 16 seated, 30 standing.
The Galleria
Private room with Venetian art for relaxed lunches, intimate dinners and short presentations; quietly self-contained with door control and flexible layouts. Capacity: 30 seated, 40 standing.
The Mezzanine
Semi-private perch above the dining room for intimate groups; offers privacy while keeping a view of the action and the kitchen hum. Capacity: 20 seated, 30 standing.
The Piazza Terrace
Weather-protected outdoor terrace with soft light and airflow, ideal for daytime celebrations or balmy evening gatherings; covered and heated in season. Capacity: 40 guests seated or standing.
Inclusions
Table setup and friendly service, basic AV help for a short toast or speech, and coordination around your run sheet. We can store and serve your cake with plates and knives. Please advise dietary needs when you enquire.
Timing & Capacities
Lunch and dinner bookings available. Best for groups from 8 to 30 seated, or up to 40 standing depending on the room. For larger numbers, we can combine spaces or suggest an alternative setup.

BYO & Drinks
Bar list by the glass and bottle is available. BYO can be arranged for private events by request, standard corkage applies. We’ll confirm glassware and any limits when you enquire.
Location & Access
Rear 681 Glenferrie Road, Hawthorn, entry via Grace Street. Large paid public car park directly behind the venue (Boroondara Council), plus nearby street parking. About 6–7 km east of Southern Cross, roughly 20 minutes by train (via Richmond) or 20–30 minutes by car off-peak. Close to Glenferrie Station and tram stops. Let us know about any access needs.
